Flood
Mitigation Sites Visit

KECIL, BAYAN BARU - The constituency of Pantai Jerejak has
been badly hit with flash flood lately and to resolve the
problems, YB Sim Tze Tzin has led a team of officers from the
MPPP, JKR, Land Office, JPS and the media to visit those badly
affected areas.
According to the Director of JPS
Pulau Pinang, Tuan Haji Hanapi Bin Mohd Noor, a suggested plan
will be drafted and tender will be opened before the end of
the year and work will commence in February 2009. Part of the
project will involve more than 1 kilometer of drainage to
divert the excess water from the affected areas and will cost
approximately RM1 million.
