Graduation of English
Class in KADUN Pantai Jerejak

Pantai Jerejak 12, Dec: Pantai Jerejak State Assemblyman
today organized a Graduation ceremony for 75 students who
took part in “Teach English for Pantai Jerejak” Program.
Students from various background especially the lower income
groups benefited from this 6-month tuition class. “Teach
English for Pantai Jerejak” program is jointly organized by
JKKK Sg Nibong Pantai, Sg Nibong Besar and JKKK Mahsuri.
“Education is one of the top agendas in KADUN Pantai
Jerejak. And I have allocated the biggest portion of my
allocation into education.” YB Sim said.
In the ceremony, YB Sim Tze Tzin spoke at length on the
importance of English especially for the future of the
children. Penang is an international city which attracts
multi-national companies from the around the world. English
is vital for career advancement as well as to communicate
with foreigners. He urged the parents to start communicating
English with the kids although it is broken English, and
never shy to do that.
He also said that, children nowadays must command 3
languages: mother tongue (Bahasa or Mandarin), English and
Computer language (computer literacy).
In the ceremony, YB Sim also announced that he would set up
5 mini libraries in kampungs around his constituency. He
would equip the libraries with computers and internet
facilities. This was to make sure that the lower income
families would have opportunities to computer and internet
facilities.
Tuition class students later received certificate of
completion from YB Sim Tze Tzin.
